JOHN MATHIS

John brings over 42 years in the paper industry with a focus on maximizing human capital. He John provides clients with training, development, and mentoring of their leaders and managers to create efficient, effective organizations capable of fully executing business strategies and objectives. John draws on his own experience in Foreman, Supervisor, and Manager-level positions, in addition to his organization development to assist management personnel in diagnosing the status of their organizations, developing and implementing improvement plans, measuring success, and making necessary and timely adjustments – all with a strong emphasis on accountability.   John has successfully worked with first-line to senior management levels in mill, plant, division, and corporate environments.

JANICE KIRKHAM

Jan is a Technical Writer and developer of Computer Based Training systems.  Her expertise is in training material for paper machine systems from the headbox to the reel, including fiber feed to the machine, water systems, vacuum system, size press feed, coating system, utilities, rewinder and roll finishing.  She is fluent in Toolbook, Corel Draw, Photo Shop and Word (templates).  Jan has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburg with an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University.

JOE G. RUGGIERO JR.

Joe has over 28 years of experience as a machine engineer and line supervisor in bleached board operations. He is experienced in developing training material and conducting training for machine crews. He has broad expertise in machine systems including dryer systems, drives, coater operations, and calendering. Joe has BS in Chemistry from Villanova and an MS in Chemical Engineering, John Hopkins University.

W. ROGER WOOD

Roger has over 30 years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, and utilities management in the pulp and paper industry. He is an experienced technical writer and has provided technical and operational training materials for the pulp and paper industry along with the oil and gas industry. Roger has also served as an instructor to engineering students on auxiliary power systems.  Drawing on his broad engineering and maintenance experience, he is adept at interpreting engineering drawings, process and instrumentation drawings into training materials and in working with mill personnel to document procedures. He has served as Chairman of the Maintenance Committee of Northeast PIMA (Paper Industry Management Association) for several years. Roger holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine.

RANDALL CANTERBURY

Randy has twenty-seven years of experience in shipments planning, loading and loading suprevision. He has considerable experience in developing and authoring procedures and working with damage prevention.

 

 

PAT HARTMAN

Patricia K Hartman has over 32 years of pulp and paper experience including roles as  production engineer, quality assurance supervisor, ISO 9001 implementation leader, ISO 9001 site manager, and as training director in a large integrated southeastern mill. She has experience with coated and uncoated solid bleached sulfate, green liquor semi-chemical and unbleached recycled pulping and papermaking systems.
Pat designed and managed a Statistical Process Control program for over 1000 employees Pat has led a wide variety of businesses through ISO 9001 implementation and registration,  including printing, converting, extrusion, sheeting, rewinding, envelope,  manufacture, fine paper and board mills, and specialty chemical plants.  Pat is a lean six sigma black belt, and led the lean six sigma operational excellence effort at a large plant resulting in over $40 million in savings over a three year period.  Pat recently completed a cost of quality diagnostic at an injection molding and assembly plant in the plastics industry. Pat is a highly rated instructor and has trained several hundred people in six sigma yellow belt, green belt and lean techniques.  Students have included hourly production employees, engineers, managers, executives and customers.
Pat is a senior member of the American Society for Quality, and spent over 15 years revising and reviewing pulping and papermaking test methods as a leader in the Process and Product Quality Division of TAPPI and represented the American Forest and Paper Association on the US Technical Advisory Group for ISO Technical Committee 176 (responsible for quality management system standards) for 15+ years. Pat is a Western Michigan University graduate with a B.S. in Paper Science. 

ROBERT (BOB) CRESCENZI

Bob is an industry recognized thought leader who utilizes strong technical knowledge and business acumen to link Lean Six Sigma (LSS) to business strategy and priorities.  Bob’s deployments are recognized for their high levels of leadership and employee engagement; balance in meeting the needs of all stakeholders; and for producing outstanding results.  Bob is a certified LSS Master Black Belt and is currently a member of the Operation Management Advisory Council for the University of Dayton and a founding member of the Conference Board’s Senior Executive Six Sigma Council.  Bob is the President of Business Excellence Leaders, and has held roles in industry as VP-Lean Six Sigma, VP-Business Excellence, VP-Customer Satisfaction and Quality. Bob earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, attended the Leadership Program at Harvard Business School, and is a graduate of various General Electric Managerial and Engineering Development Programs.

WALLACE F. WINEBRINER (Wally)

Wally has over forty five years experience in the paper industry, associated with maintenance, engineering and safety.  He provides facilitation for behavioral safety processes, and instruction, coaching and monitoring of line and supervisory personnel. He is an expert at developing safe work procedures for Process Safety Management as well as scheduling and conducting mechanical integrity inspections of PSM processes.  Wally also has broad experience as a member of mill expansion engineering teams including inspections of equipment (one half billion dollars) as it was being manufactured (ten countries and twenty three states) and during installation in the mill.
